originality is risk

Chris Stott

Getting back into the writing ritual is no easy task.

With practice comes fluidity and the loss of fear.

When I start up after a hiatus, I think too much before I put pen to paper. Those thoughts lead to hesitation and eventually the continuation of a blank page.

Writing requires the bravery to sound ridiculous.

Originality comes from the ridiculous. We can’t be afraid to fail or sound outside our mind if we ever want to meet our dreams.

Accomplishment requires risk. Sometimes BIG risk…

It requires not worrying about how our work is received, but to simply give it the chance to be received.
